I am helping my cousin, he has a business mixing chemicals. He needs to come up with a mixer for high viscosity (5,000 to 10,000 cps) fluids recieving powders to be mixed in. I cannot find a reference for required HP to turn an existing propeller mixer of known size in an existing container at about 500 rpm. Anyone know of a site, book or other reference I can go to? I would like a formula that I can vary the inputs to, so we can try out different combinations of existing eqipment before buying new. Steve, hsteven@cavtel.net
