For the first time in my career I have been tasked with designing a system to include stepper motors, bearings, gears, and shafts. I was wondering if someone can point me in the direction of a good source that will give me a good overview of these items.
I'm not looking for references for designing gears and bearings (which I've found plenty of), I'm looking for a source with guidance on how to design systems incorporating these items. The system I'm designing will be subjected to low loads and speeds, and so shouldn't be too challenging, but I think a good "101" resource would be very helpful in exposing me to more of the options and practices already available.
I have already found the following links which had a few helpful pieces of information but seemed more applicable to those designing these components, not designing with them.
http://www.engineersedge.com/bearing_menu.shtml
http://www.engineersedge.com/gear_menu.shtml
http://www.engineersedge.com/gears/gear_types.htm
I'd prefer a book/handbook/textbook however an online source would also be acceptable. I'm imagining a source like "Seals and Sealing Handbook by: Flitney" for those familiar with that publication.
Thanks!

Thanks Kelly for the prompt feedback. I don't think your first link is really what I'm looking for as it seems more about the designing of the gears themselves. However, your second link sounds exactly like what I'm looking for!
I had come across one other reference. Any opinions on which would likely more meet my needs? Again I'm looking for help designing systems with gears, bearings, shafts, etc, not designing those components themselves. Machine Designers Reference or Standard Handbook of Machine Design? I'm leaning more toward Machnine Designers Reference based on the description of what it covers, but if anyone has insight into the differences between the two I'd appreciate it. For what it's worth, I already have Shigley's other book, Mechanical Engineering Design, which is a great general educational reference, but like most textbooks lacks the details of designing systems with these components.
