I have a unique application where I need to mount a piece of machinery such that the mounting bolts will be inside a gearbox, submerged in oil, and subjected to heat (up to 100C) and vibration. This connection is critical to the function of the machine, and safety of the operators.
Any recommendations on how to ensure the bolts do not vibrate or become loose in such an environment?

There are numerous mechanical methods. You might also contact Loctite for their recommendations.
Thank you for the suggestions. The mounting uses Socket Head Cap Screws into threads cut in housing, so unfortunately any lock nut is not an option.
I had also considered the lock wire, which will definitely keep the bolts in place, but I have no experience with this method. These bolts hold pressure on a taperlock locking ring, so any loss in torque is not acceptable. Will the lock wire process guarantee no loss in torque?
