Help needed to complete a mechanical clicker writing pen design

    Hi Guys,

I have been working on a very unique clicker writing pen design but hit a brick wall with a part of the mechanism....

I have 3D drawings of my design so far....

Am I allowed to post drawings for you guys to have a look and hopefully give some advice?

    Thanks
    David.

Is the plan for the central ball, in the second image, to replace the need for a spring?

No it is a gadget fun pen loosely based on the 007 GoldenEye Grenade Parker Pen.

My pen is not a Grenade but a locked pen!

    How does it work:

    1. Hold the pen in an upright position then press the push button once
    2. Then hold the pen Inverted and press the push button once
    3. Then hold the pen upright again and press the push button once and the nib will open

I really need some HELP from you guys on the mechanism design.

If you keep pressing the button and do not follow the 3 moves listed above the pen just keeps clicking but the nib will not engage so the pen is locked until the correct moves are made...

I have the mechanism working for the 1st and 2nd move but I am stuck on the final 3rd move....

    Any advice guys?
