Senior project ideas

Hello... I am searching for good ideas that would help me in my senior project... i need something about alternative renewable energy.. I thought of electric totally efficient and self sufficient cars! what do you think?

Welcome to the forum, but I think cars have been done to death. There have been solar car races for the past 20 years with companies like GM and GE involved in building vehicles. With companies like that involved, I am sure electrical efficiency and self sufficiency has been totally covered.

I would turn my thinking to solid state devices. Especially SSD.
