Hi all,

I'm directing my company in the way of specifying profile of a surface (alot more than currently) and then analyzing CT scanned data sets for pass/fail judgements on component specifications. Its basically a scanned data to nominal CAD file profile comparison. I recently had a demo of Smart Profile 3 and was impressed. I suppose the thing I liked most about Smart Profile is the ability to easily specify Datum features on the reference CAD file (say from the print) and then perform the Profile of a Surface analysis per ASME Y 14.5.

Has anyone had any experiences with this software or other similar types? Any general recommendations?
