In the news there's a story about Ahmed Mohamed being arrested for bringing a clock to school. The 14 year old student living in Irving Texas was quite proud of his engineering project.
Having the skill and ambition to build something this cool should be rewarded not lead to being hand cuffed and taken to the police station for interrogation. Even more disappointing is that the school suspended Ahmed for three days after knowing the full facts about his engineering project. Moreover, the Irving Texas school principle issued a statement that seems to imply that Mohamed was at fault for violating the "Student Code of Conduct."
The future belongs to people like Ahmed.
Ahmed, if you ever want to come by Engineers Edge, I'd love to meet you. Keep inventing we need you!

Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.
