    Micro finish on profile surface

    Hi,
    Can someone enlighten how to achieve micro finish requirements on curved external and internal surfaces.


    This is a Swashplate and requires Ra 0.4 on the shiny surface shown.

    In the manufacture of crankshaft journals there is often a polishing operation performed with an abrasive coated tape.

    Look for polishing tape at least for the external portion.
