I am 3D prototyping a few parts using ABS and I am trying to identify which type of primer, paint and final coating I need to get a smooth matte finish similar to the product below ( I have just added this as an example as this is what I could find, and am not too familar with types of paint finishes)
The painted surface finish tends to match that of the material of part being painted - if the part has a rough surface then the painted surface will be rough. You could buff the 3D printed part then paint.
