I want to know whether any engineering company available that can be able to make a steam compressor that can compress saturated steam from 0.67 kPa to 12.4 kPa in multiple stage. The purpose of the system is to vent out steam at flowrate of 2 kg/sec with power consumption as low as possible.
A similar system has been used in open cycle OTEC experimental setup
OTEC overview.pdf
where steam and non-condensables has been vented at atmospheric pressure from 0.9 barA pressure (saturation pressure of steam at 5°C). The power consumption was 80 kW for a steamflow rate of 480 g/s along with non-condensables. Due to intercooling, a lot of steam has been converted to water in the between the compressor set.
I want to know whether such set up can be made by anyone or organisation? Expecting answers from experienced persons in this matter.
