Does anyone have a design guide for creating "reveals"? It is probably called other things at different companies, but it's where two plastic parts come together and where a groove is created when the parts are mated. It's created to avoid seeing the part irregularity that one would see if the parting lines were mated up at the same surface. I would like to know if there are any known standards or rule of thumb design guides that engineers use when creating these. I've done these over the years but never to any standard. I appreciate your input! Thanks! Joe
Design your own "Reveals" part. Could be an extrusion but I have never heard of an industry standard trim piece to cover plastic part flash areas.
