    catamaran building

    ok here goes im new here. Im wanting to build a 12'x32' catamaran out of aluminum and Id like some advise.
    what thickness wall and tube size should I use? not sure on strength.....

    Thick enough and big enough to carry your anticipated loads. But not so big as to be too heavy.

    Seriously, maybe you thought you were asking a simple question. You were not. A little more definition, no, a LOT more definition would be required.

    Ok sorry guys. Not sure what size and thickness of square tubing to use and thickness for skin on hull. 6-8 people so like 3000 lbs max .for people and gear.

    I don't think you understand that your question does not have a simple answer. The hull and associated structural members of a boat is more complicated then "xxx" thickness.
