How to calculate an internal retaining ring bearing stress area to determine if the internal retaining ring is suitable. A worked example would be nice.
Why not just call an application engineer at a retaining ring manufacturer? They have years of test data, and their only job is to help you use their products successfully. Talk a live person. Don't bother with distributors. They're good for their purpose but don't have the technical savvy of the manufacturers' application engineers.
