    surprise2 Heat Treat callout

    I want to show area to test for hardness on small diameter shaft. What is common practice.

    On your engineering drawing or reference document use a chain line with a leader pointing to it referencing a note "test here" or equivalent.

    You can put dimensions on the chain line area.
