Hi engineers,
I hired someone to install a radon mitigation system in my house. it is determined that the best place for the pipe to exit the house requires cutting a 4" hole through the concrete foundation wall in the basement .This is a dropped landing area above which is why the foundation wall is higher than the ceiling joists.
Is it safe to go ahead and cut the hole?maybe I am overthinking it?

Probably you're fine though if you have doubt you should engage a local qualified structural engineer for a site review.
