Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me with these crane calulation problems ? As I have tried and don't nowhere to begin to find the solutions.
The diameter of the winch drum is 0.8m It is turning at 50 rev/min.
The hook is reeved with 4 falls
1. What is the lowering speed of the hook in m/min?
2.What would be the hook speed in m/min if it was reeved with only twofalls?
3. If it was possible to lift 9 tonnes on 4 falls how much could you lift on 2falls given no other limiting factors?
i wasnt sure is this formula is needed ? v=wr
