    Registration Help

Registration is free (unless otherwise specified), and offers an extended range of features, including:

    • Viewing article webpages
    • Posting new threads
    • Replying to other peoples' threads
    • Editing your posts
    • Receiving email notification of replies to posts and threads you specify
    • Sending private messages to other members
    • Creating albums of pictures and comment on others' pictures
    • Adding events to the forum calendar
    • Setting up a 'contact list' to quickly see which of your friends are online.
    • Being cool and way smarter.

    How do I register?

You register by clicking on the 'Register' link near the top of the page. You will be asked to choose a user name, password and enter a valid email address. In addition there will be some other fields to which you will be invited to respond. Some will be mandatory while others are optional. Once this is complete you will be emailed a confirmation to complete registration then you will have to click on a link in an 'activation email' sent to your email address. Once you have done this you will be registered.

Note that entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide it from other Engineers Edge member users. You'll probably be able to allow other registered users to contact you via email, but the system won't display your email address to them unless you give permission.

    I can't Register!

    Verify the following technicals:

    • You are using a java enabled browser
    • Your browser is cookie enabled

No java, no cookies - no registration...
If the registrator or webpage says that your email is banned, it may not be your specific email - it could be the domain has been blocked for spam. Try another email address from another provider.

If you are having challenges registering

You will receive a confirmation email and will be required to complete registration by visiting a specified url (webpage).

Note: You may need to copy and paste the COMPLETE url into your browser as some email programs wiil break or corrupt links.

There will be an option labeled "Does The Above URL Not Work?" - you can click on this link or copy and paste into your internet browser.

You then will be asked to enter the Username and an "Activation ID" to complete registration.

If all of the above does not work you can email the webmaster at the email address given within you registration confirmation email.

When emailing the webmaster you will need to forward your email and username for troubleshooting.

Oh ya - we don't spam, ever...
