Deal Brings World's Most Complete Virtual Product Design System To China | |
|
Romax Technology Ltd, the international supplier of software tools and services for transmissions engineering, has appointed Hirain Technologies Co. Ltd. as the exclusive Chinese distributor of Romax's virtual product design software package, RomaxDesigner R12.3 - a package which is revolutionising transmission and driveline design. This exclusive distribution deal for RomaxDesigner R12.3 will replicate the software's success in the West and help Chinese design and engineering companies to take their products to market faster. The software package achieves this by negating the need for physical testing by allowing multiple virtual product tests to be conducted on screen. Hirain, which specialises in the exclusive distribution of standard software tools, and the provision of integrated engineering tools and consulting services throughout mainland China, was selected by Romax for the distribution role on the strength of its excellent track record in the aerospace and automotive industries. "We have complete confidence in Hirain's ability to exploit RomaxDesigner R12.3 in this enormous market, as the company has an enviable reputation for delivering results, as it has proved working on exclusive distribution contracts for key organisations such as dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink and Vector," explains Andy Poon, software manager at Romax Technology. "Romax is strongly committed to China, and we have produced our first local language version of the software especially for this market. We are also working closely with a number of Chinese companies and research institutions to enable our software to be tailored to match the demanding requirements and standards of this dynamic market which will add to our existing German (DIN) and Japanese (JIS) gear ratings." RomaxDesigner R12.3 is being marketed as the most complete product design system for transmission and driveline in the world - which is why it will be gratefully received in the Chinese market according to Mr Yingcun Ji, CEO, at Hirain, who says of his organisation's exclusive deal with Romax Technology; "Nothing as advanced as RomaxDesigner R12.3 exists in China - and Chinese customers need professional design tools for transmission and driveline design if they are to remain competitive with the rest of the world. We are extremely pleased to now be able to provide them with a software package that will help them to make the best use of their budgets and take their products to market faster." This new deal comes just a month after Romax announced its global expansion into Germany and India, with the opening of a new European sales office in Alzenau, and a new engineering centre in Pune. Romax Technology offers conceptually advanced software and expert consulting services for the global transmission industry, in particular expertise in gear and spline design tools, planetary gears, high speed, high torque, speed reduction and speed increase. Its clients include the most prominent engineering companies in the automotive, aerospace, marine, industrial equipment, power generation and rail industries.
