|
Master Bond Inc., Hackensack, N.J. has introduced EP21TDC-4HT, a uniquely toughened epoxy compound for high performance bonding, sealing and casting. It features high peel strength and superior resistance to vibration, impact and shock for service up to 205°C (400°F). This two-part epoxy can be room temperature or heat cured. EP21TDC-4HT has high physical strength properties including a tensile strength of 8250 psi, a tensile shear strength of more than 2800 psi and outstanding peel strength exceeding 36 pli at 25°C. Volume resistivity, is greater than 1014 ohm-cm.
Master Bond EP21TDC-4HT can be used over the exceptionally wide temperature range of -55 to 205°C (-65 to 400°F). Other definitive characteristics include good thermal shock resistance and a high degree of resistance to many chemicals such as water, acids, bases, fuels and various organic solvents. This product bonds well to many substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubbers and most plastics. It has excellent electrical, chemical and weather resistance which makes it ideally suited for heavy-duty industrial use. Typical applications include bonding, sealing and casting in the electronic, electrical, computer, construction, metalworking, appliance, automotive and chemical process industries. It is available in premixed bi-packs and cartridge/gun packaging for convenient dispensing as well as in pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon containers.
