the gear should be between two shafts that one of the should rotate at 3800 rpm and the other one at 1500 rpm ,so that the power transmeted is 2.5 hp ,and accordind to my study i choose a spur gear with 20 degree presure angle and so i want to fit the two gear (penion and the large gear within 7-8 in ) so could you please tell me the suitabe diameter for the penion and also the suitable material for desiging this gear
