This is because rubber mass depends on the durometer.
This is how dense it is produced and a spec the engineer
provides. Example: a bowling ball is about 90 duro.
a grip on a golf club is about 65 duro.
a tire is about 60 to 70 duro
a rubber cushion is about 35 duro
the seals around a car door are around 25 to 40 duro

... so as you can see it depends..
