Spring steel call-out for drawings

I am trying to find a good material call-out for a drawing of a stamped, spring steel fuel filter bracket. Currently, the drawing calls for SAE J403 1050 spring steel, 1.25 mm thick, heat treatment to be austemper per NT2-7, RC 45-50. I do not know where this designation came from, and I haven't been able to find any good guides as to what it should say. Hope someone can help.
