I have a transformer that sits inside a metal enclosure. The walls of the enclosure have louvered openings. I need to determine the temperature on the inside of the enclosure. Any suggestions as to how I calculate what cooling natural convection will provide and if the area of louvered openings is sufficient?

Hi...welcome to the forum. Do you have the transformers mfr's temp specs and enclosure size?

Can you post a model or pic?

Thanks

I have the transformers temp rise above ambient. The enclosure is ~250" x 84".
