Roger, Though not an expert in die casting alloys, I've never heard of an Aluminum Alloy 997 for die casting.  There is however, a Copper Alloy 997 used for die casting. For more info you may want to visit NADCA: diecasting.org Good Luck Modified by Administrator at Tue, Jun 10, 2003, 14:23:09

Roger, I am not aware of any Aluminum Alloy 997.  Below is some info I have taken from the Metals Handbook regarding aluminum alloys for sheet and plate.
