Why refigerant distributor from Brass material but not copper

The present outdoor unit and/or an indoor unit of an air conditioner equipped with a heat exchanger having a plurality of refrigerant passages, and a refrigerant distributor system for use in same.

Why the refrigerant distributor make from brass but not copper? Although the distributor is fitted to the low pressure side (evaporator).

It's sometimes easier to use the same parts in 2 different places. It saves in cost of materials and storage.
