Hi There I am Design Engineer and currently i am designing a grinding machine for fine plastic bits to grinding them to finer for crafting purpose. Is anybody could help me how to find out what is the best angle with horizon of the knife for a better cutting result Please See Attached Picture. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum....it looks you probably want to build a prototype where you can change the knife angle. Modified by Marky at Wed, Jan 27, 2010, 12:03:11

Let's look at this way....What part holds the knives? Try to make a few versions of the part that holds the knives at different angles. Or different knives at various angles.

I am doing exactly what you said mate, but do you think it is good solution for grinding soft plastic??

The knives with the angle adjustments are just a prototype...once you find optimum angle...simply make knives with the proper angle. If you can...forward a picture of your final design. It would be cool to see. Thanks

Hi Miky Thanks for your help, please see final design picture, we did some trial and we find out 90 degree cutting angle is the best angle for that special material. Cheers
