Hi, Sun torque is known, carrier torque is known, and ring torque is known. How do I calculate torque on the planetary pinion gears? Can I just divide the carrier torque by the number of pinion gears? Thank you. Modified by liz_msu at Fri, Mar 05, 2010, 16:08:09 |

Depends on whether the gear train is accelerating.
If not, then what are those gears driving to make them have any torque? |
