Does anyone have any advice on advantages, disadvantages / design conciderations on the use of torx drive screws compared to socket drive screws? Why would I want to special order torx drive over a standard socket drive?

Torx screws are used alot in high volume production where automated equiptment is being utilized for the screw installation.
