Mr.Matt, The density of steel is 7850 kgs / cu.mts.You calculate the volume of steel section by arithmatical volume calculation and multiply with density. Regards

hello Matt ! The weight of steel you can find through density and volume.The density /specific weight of steel C 35 --0.0784 N/cc. Calculate the volume of the steel component and then multiply it with the density given above. Remember to take care of unit you are following.

The data sheets have mechanical, physical and thermal properties with references. Density = 490 lb/ft^3 or 0.284 lb/in^3 from the 8th Edition of The Manual of Steel Construction |
