Could anyone please tell me what material grade 12.9 bolts are usually made from and could this material be used for pins? Thanks very much for any help you can give!!

That is a Tensile and Shear Strength rating so any material that meets that specification is suitable. That could range from Aluminum to Steel to Titanium to high-tensile butter. Choose a material that best suits the job for cost, weight, appearance, corrosion resistance or whatever. Dave |
