Hi,

Can anybody tell me how to calculate the thickness of the frame given that the internal operating pressur is 16 bar and maximm of 20 bar for both hot & cold fluids. also please let me know how to calculate bolts torque to avoid the lakage @16 bar pressure.

Rather than just re-posting, why not try including some more details. We, well, I get sick of these types of questions and now ignore them.

You don't say how big the heat exchanger is.
You don't say if it has to be square, round, oval or rectangular.
You don't say how thick overall it must be or can be.
Are there internal ribs for greater surface area?
Are there external ribs for greater surface area?
You don't say what materials it is to be made from.
If it is large it will need extra bracing across the surfaces.

The bolts are basic tensile strength calculations which can be found in about a zillion places on the internet.
