A Morse taper (MT) is desribed by a taper per inch.  The values for a morse taper are in the machinery's handbook.  The rate of taper varies by the designation of the taper, MT1, MT2, MT3, MT4, & MT5.  I don't have my machinery's handbook near so I can't give you numbers.  There are other variations, for example there is a MT 4-1/2 on the ID of some early South Bend lathe spindles.

Which MT are you looking for?

Mark
