I am using a water bath to cool a pipeline containing hot exhaust gas, I am making the assumption that the water will remain at a constant temperature and need to determine the rate of vaporization. Given the vapour pressure of the water (96mmHg) and the Temperature (50oC) how can I determine the rate of evaporation given average ambient comditions (say 5km/h wind, 15oC, 30%RH) is there a simplified correlation for this type of calculation. I realize that this is a complex calc when all of the factors are taken into account but I just need a back of the envelope calculation. Thanks for any help
