hi there

i would like to fabricate a replacement for a wheel bearing housing casting?

what material should i use (steel)

im afraid i have no idea what the original material is, cast iron or steel i guess. suspension components are also mounted on this component  and break hub is attached to drive shaft  going thru this component at 250 ftlb on large nut this will compress my fabricated component?

any idea or shall i give up on stupid ideas!

STEEL!!! What does this go in / on? You can't get one? Best thing to do is have a machine shop make one from the old as a blue print. It will NOT be cheap!
