I have a project on an island seashore. It is in a very harsh environment where it is very hot, high humidity and corrosive. |

Keep in mind that Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, not corrosion proof. the 316 SS should be sufficient, but any welded surfaces tend to accept corrosion faster. I'm not real sure about the the treatment used, but galvanic corrosion occurs, regardless of size. Hard to say if you could get a guarantee of 15 years without corrosion, however it should maintain integrity as long as it is not under constant saltwater contact. on land should be ok. |
