I know it's been over a month since your post but here's two cents worth: I've used Pro/E all day, every day for the past 11 years. Powerful but can take a while to learn the quirks. I used Autocad before and after switching it seemed like I'd been chiselling in stone. I tried out Inventor and it was a big leap over traditional Autocad, but I've begun using Alibre at home and it's been great, especially for its price. If you get a student version note if it's only good for a set time, like a two year license. |

Think the lastest ACAD version is 15. Go to your favorite search engine (Google or Yahoo) and search for "Student Version ACAD". You can buy the student version for about $350. You will need a student ID to complete the purchase. Additionally, check out ACAD Lite. There are several other CAD packages out there. Such as Solid Edge, Solid Works, Pro-e. |
