You are asking to have an intire science expressed in a brief statement. It is with considerable knowledge and experience that such products are forged. In fact this is where some of the latest state of the art technological improvements are currently being made in forging and machining processes. Many top shelf impellers are now being CNC machined from single billets, this was not possible until the latest CNC machining centers were developed. I wish I had a better answer, but it just takes acquired skills and knowledge. .. and depends greatly on the application. For example the speed that the impeller rotates, the product to be pumped, the temp. it operates in, the size, and so on. You may be able to find some material information on pump making company web sites. I would think they may furnish specs. on materials for some pumps based on the need to know if they are compatible with different products to be pumped. However, I feel sure you would have a hard time getting them to reveal their closely guarded methods of forging and casting impellers billets. -randy- The worst suggestion of you lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. Randy, thanks a lot, you are right; my question was too open. by the way we hope you or some one else have some information on these, I am beginer on this area and intent to develope my self, I have already some data from standards/text books/result of material analysis of existing; here is more specific data of parts
what we need is about : requirements of material mech. and physical properties, test during/after working process. regards |

Now, there is the needed data, good job.
However you have left my experience area, perhaps someone will pick up the question and provide some additional guidance. -randy- The worst suggestion of you lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
