Well, I have never done anything like this myself however, it sounds like you are designing an electronic eye which will contrast temperature or an object. I would consider an infrared or simular device. You might go down to Radio Shack (not an advertisment) and check out thier electronics solutions handy guides. These guides will have simple electronic circuit within them for classic electronic solutions. BTW: What are the rules? |

I don,t think the purpose of this forum is to help solve homework problems. Your teacher should be giving you suggestions on the topic, not members of this group. Good luck on the project and post if you have a design that you could show us!! |

I can not blame a future engineer for using the resources he or she has at hand. This fourm is a resource. Making suggestions does not have to be in the form of solving the home work problem. One of the most important qualities of a good engineer is knowing where and how to get resources, without such talent we would become an island and be left behind in the dust of the technological evolution process. Yes, I agree, a simple photo cell looking through the hole with a light on the other side. You wire it and figure it out from there. There is more required to make the cell selective to the light in the hole. -randy- The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
