Dear Sir, We are currently working in a Glycol Dehydration Unit. I have problem with regard to the material selection. This application is high sour in nature. The % of H2S in the gas is 12%Mol and CO2 is 6.6 % Mol . The client has requested to comply with NACE with regard to the material selection . We are confused as to which material we need to go for. Initially we went for HIC Tested Carbon Steel with 3 mm Cladding of SS316L . because of the delivery time of the cladded vessel the client is asking for SS316L for the entire vessel . Does this comply with NACE MR 0175 . Is SS316L ok for our application ??? or do we we need to go for any other material or is Cladding the only option ( if so what should be cladd material) ?? The internal design pressure is 34.5 Barg and the Design Temp is 71.1 C . The operating pressure is 30 barg and temperature of 50 C. Can you all help me on this . Thanks and RegardsPonraj.S Process Engineer Bs&B Technologies Private Limited, 5e & 5f, 5th Floor, P.M Tower, 37,Greams Road, Chennai, India-600 006 Phone: 91- 44-2829 4021 (10 Lines) Extn:140 Fax:91-44-2829 4027/ 2829 4585 Email: ponraj@bsbtechnologies.com Website: www.bsb.ab.ca |
