Hey....

I'm working with different EOS's and I need a reliable data set of  compressibility factor for Ethane @ any temp but diferrent pressures. Does anyone know where I can find it???

Hope to hear from anyone soon....

You can use the gas law for any pressure temperature condition, namely

PV=WR/M*T

where

P= absolute pressure,lb per sq foot;V=volume, cubic feet;M=pound molecular weight=30 for ethane;R=1545,;T= abs temp,deg R

If you have an adiabatic expansion or contraction, you would have to take into account the variation of temperature and need the adiabatic formula.

Hi.........

You can get compressibilty factors for Ethane at different temperature and pressur in GPSA Data Book or Perry's Chemical Handbook or you can simulate 100% Ethane in any process simulation software e.g. HYSYS, Winsim, ProII etc.

Hope this will help you.
