I am a final year degree student in the Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland.  For my final year project I am doing a study on the strengths of Quickdraws (two karabiners and a sling). The project consists of the testing of the quickdraws in a tensile machine to test their max marked loads and to find where they break. Then the quickdraw will be tested using finite element analysis.

For the project I need to do background research on the entire topic. Could anyone advise me on how to find the relevent EN Standards and American Standards for safety for such equipment? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
