Designation of thread on the drawings. Question

Say, please, which is better to write on the drawings next to the parameter of the thread:  #  (dim) of " Thread per inch" or "UNC", "UNF"?

Basic thread designation requires the following: nominal size - pitch, thread series - thread class. For example 1/2-13 UNC-2B. So to answer your question both are required when designating threads.
