Say, please, which is better to write on the drawings next to the parameter of the thread: # (dim) of " Thread per inch" or "UNC", "UNF"? The inhabitant of the state Latvia with the unique document, with « “ the Passport NOcitizen“ of Latvia » |

Basic thread designation requires the following: nominal size - pitch, thread series - thread class. For example 1/2-13 UNC-2B. So to answer your question both are required when designating threads. I have seen the evils of procrastination and plan to change my ways tomorrow! Bill |
