We just installed waste heat recovery boiler on our dual fuel engine when the exhaust was going through the original silencer the exhaust was smokeless only heat can be seen going through it but when the waste heat system was installed and when exhaust was passed through the boiler we can see carbon in our exhaust although we did not change any fuel parameters on the engine side and as we switch the exhaust back to the silencer the black carbon in the exhaust visible there vanishes is that because of a drop in exhsuat temperature? the exhaust going through the boiler chimney is at 120 C and through the original silencer its at 450 C |
