i am doing a complete full spur gear anlaysis according to AGMA standards and have some questions regarding the process. Im going to be doing a 2-3 stage reduction train system with the input (coming off from the shaft of the motor spinning near 1800 or 3200 rpm (havent decided on the motor yet) and need the output shaft coming off of the gear reduction system to be spinning at 6 rpm. I have a decent understanding of the general AGMA guidlines but im not sure how to account for friction or loss of energy due to heat from the interaction of the gears etc etc. any input would be helpful. thanks |
