Dear all, I am trying to design a four bar mechanism wherein the Travel ratio should be greater than the mechanical advantage/force
For eg. an input of 50 kgf to the system should give an output more than 250 kgf and at the same time the travel ratio(input
I tried with many combination and couldn't able to get the ratio more than 1.1 - 1.2 Can anybody help me to get a solution ?? Shetty |

If you could, you would be getting more energy out of the system than you put in, an obvious impossibility. The best you can do is
input motion/output motion >/= output force/input force Using your values, this becomes input motion/output motion >/=250/50=5 So you can't do it with any mechanism. |
