I need help to determine best type of aluminum beam (H, I, rectangular or square tube) to use and size (thickness and flange size) for a marine 12 foot marine ramp to support an individual about 250 to 300 pound? Thanks,

I beams will be easier to bolt through (flanges) while square tubes don't collect trash in the flanges and if sealed could help the thing float if it gets knocked off. Either can be used, it just depends on how you want to connect them. What are you putting on top? Wooden planks? Aluminum planks? How many main members do you plan to use? |
