The smart thing to do is hire a professional break press operator for a few hours. You will never beat the advice you will acquire from an experienced operator. Different break back gauges work different ways. An experienced operator will look and see if you have what you need, then he can come back and show you how to use it with his wisdom of experience.

thanks andy i can see your point ,the fact is i trained as a sheet metal worker ,but have never had any experience of using a press brake,i am seeking employment at the moment but most firms want people who have press brake knowledge, and are not prepared to spend time showing/training someone in the basic set up. i did contact amada to saee if they could recomend a book or something and was told if you purchase a £80,000 press brake training is free. i have searched the web but cannot find anything at all that shows someone the very basic principle of setting up re distance to vee block /backstop / there are no books in the uk that cover press brake set up what soever, traing vidios seem to be very expensive. hence my post on this forum, i was hoping that someone could point me in the direction of say a manufacture of press brakes that might have a small pdf/manual/of basic set up even for a modest part, or even better some modest software that i could use to assist ,preferable something visual rather than just bend allowences, kfactors and the like thank you |
