Need help figuring out torque value. | |||

I have a block with 10-32 threads, the block is made of t6061 t6 the threads and block are black hard coated. I am screwing a grade 8 steel black oxided screw into to it. How can i figure out the Torque value for the aluminum threads. |

Check out the following webpage, everything you need is there:
/fastener_thread_menu.shtml In general, you need to figure out how much force you need/allowed then compare the resultant stress to the fastner and the threaded part. The grade eight bolt is much more rugged than the aluminum, so you will actualy be designing for the aluminum part stresses.
