Hi I need some help. I've got an old, 1960's GE materials spec for 205 nickel, that refers to dead soft temper (likely annealed), soft temper and spring temper. Does anyone have an information regarding the differences or can someone point me to a source where I can find what I need. Thanks

Well, I just happen to have a vintage 1953 Kent's engineering handbook. I found information on ASTM B206, which is a Copper-Nickel-Zinc alloy Wire. I'm guessing 205 and 206 are close. Is there a letter grade associated which your spec.? like A, B, R or L? |

Unfortunately, there is only a text based reference to the different temper levels. Any chance you could copy and fax or scan and email this section? I'd greatly appreciate it. If possible, please email it to (snip). Administrator - Use the email contact link at the upper left of message. Thanks for your help
