IT IS JUST LIKE SQUARE BOX WITH NO SIDE ANGLE AND HAS 4.50 DEG HELIX ANGLE |

hi
if what you have is a square thread its a very old style of thread used for power-transmission purposes but i hope the following will help. width of the tooth=.5*pitch width of the tooth space=.5*pitch depth of thread =.5*pitch going on the info given ie 1.5od,.375 pitch, the angle worked out at 5'-11 not4.5' |

found a bit of info on modified square threads, they are not square but have a 10degree included pressure angle,pitch dia=od-(pitch*.5),the basic width of the crest of the thread =.4563*pitch and the same calc for the basic flat at the root of the thread |
